The Highway Commissioner is responsible for:
- construction, maintenance, and repair of the 43 miles of roads and bridges in the road district, including snow removal
- presenting the annual tax levy to the Township Board of Trustees for certification
- submitting the tentative annual budget to the Township Clerk and Township Trustees at least 30 days before adoption of the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for Roads and Bridges
